ADELAIDE GREEN HUB
Developing the City of Adelaide into a 100% renewable energy city and green economic hub for the Asia/Pacific region.
How this will impact Adelaide's carbon emissions
To deliver the outcomes that the Carbon Neutral Challenge is seeking to deliver will require innovative technologies, measures and actions not currently deployed in Australia but deployed elsewhere in the world as set out in the attached submission uploaded in the additional information box. This includes technologies such renewable offshore wind, wave and thermal energy, renewable gas grid injection, hydrogen and 'power to gas' which if developed in South Australia would deliver a carbon neutral city and create a green economy hub in Adelaide not only for Australia but also for the Asia/Pacific region creating significant economic development and jobs in South Australia.
