Biodiesel from Waste
Peats 3rd generation biodiesel technology is made from liquid organic waste materials which can be utilised in any biodiesel compatible vehicle.
How this will impact Adelaide's carbon emissions
By opposing the traditional linear ‘take, make, dispose’ economic model which relies on once cheap, easily accessible materials and energy and is reaching its physical limits, Peats Soils & Garden Supplies Pty Ltd has adopted a circular economy approach to its business model moving forward.
Peats is achieving this by taking organic waste and turning it into renewable green energy (electricity and biodiesel fuel), improving the microbiological functionality of farming soils while building carbon back into the soil and improving its water holding capabilities.
Peats are doing this in South Australia and now successfully exporting the technology to many countries overseas.
