Government digital competition
Tailored web green competitions to improve consumption habits in order to reduce CO2 emissions, water, paper & waste production
How this will impact Adelaide's carbon emissions
During more than 10 years we have been researching and understanding the very diverse set of needs in organizations. Among all the types of sectors, sizes, markets, products etc., the environmental solutions are in a constant increase in their demand: regulation has turned stronger and tougher for companies, customers are more likely to consume from companies that have green standards applied to their operation and, the climate is changing faster than any scientific model could have predicted. All the mixture of these reasons has created an explicit appetite for environmental innovative solutions.
Adelaide is not an exception to this reality.
We create environmental competitions based on a web platform that enables a cultural changing process within organizations and communities in order to improve consumption habits, creating verified environmental positive impacts (such as CO2, kwh, water, paper, waste reductions) and real economic savings.
We developed the described technology in 2013 as a way to help companies to reduce their environmental impacts. Since then, we have implemented it in 20 organizations, achieved 12 international awards and received more than 150 media appearances. Combined, our users have reduced the emission of 184.464 kg of CO2, saved 10.078.111 liters of water.
The competition has 5 standard topics: electricity, water, paper, waste and mobility. Each, has a standard set of habits that can be improved and an integrated verification system. We translate everyone’s savings into points and give additional ones for “social-oriented” actions, creating an exciting atmosphere around the campaign. All the competition scores are displayed on a live Ranking and users have their own impact profile.
Voting has now closed for the Wildcard prize. Stay tuned to find out which project will be the 11th finalist.
