Convert old cars to two stroke and run carbon free 150 km on solar compressed air.
How this will impact Adelaide's carbon emissions
SA has the oldest car fleet in Australia - perfectly good cars but they tend to have big engines with high emissions.
We plan the owner would have a gang of scuba cylinders at home, filled with compressed air from a solar powered compressor by day.
Each evening, the air would be transferred to scuba cylinders in the car boot to power the car ~ 150 km the next day. The car's engine would be converted to a two stroke by changing its cam shaft and run as an air motor. The only exhaust would be cool air. When parked or at traffic lights - there would be zero emissions.
